Accessibility Statement

PIAB follows guidelines on accessibility set out by the W3C (the World Wide Web Consortium). The W3C WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) produces accessibility guidelines (WCAG 1.0) that are an internationally recognised benchmark of accessibility.

In designing PIAB, we have applied all appropriate WAI Priority 1 and Priority 2 criteria of the WAI's web content accessibility guidelines.

Changing Text Size

To change your text size, you can resize text using your browser:

  • For Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, select Text size from the View menu or hold the Control key and use the scroll wheel on your mouse
  • If you are using another browser, please refer to your browser help to learn how to resize text

Print Friendly

This website is also optimised for printing. Simply print the page using your browsers PRINT option and the page will print out to fit the width of the paper.

Use of PDF Format

The site makes use of the following non-W3C technology:

  • Portable Document Format (PDF): Certain documents (such as forms and certain reports) on this site are available in PDF format, which requires you to download and install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software. Click on the icon below to download the Adobe Reader from the Adobe website. We have, wherever possible, provided a non-PDF alternative where there is a PDF document.

If you cannot access the information in any PDF document please contact us at enquiries@piab.ie or phone us at 01 4634500.

A Note on JavaScript

Certain functionality on this site requires JavaScript to function correctly and provide the optimum user experience (for example, the Estimator). While virtually all current browsers support JavaScript, some users may experience difficulties using these features if they have certain security features enabled on their browser. We have provided the equivalent information in an accessible format to ensure that you can still access the necessary information.

Video Content

To view some video content on the PIAB website a flash player is required. Click here to download the plugin for your browser.

PIAB is committed to making our website accessible to all people, regardless of ability. If you feel that this website could be easier to use, or you have difficulty accessing any information or find that any part of the site is not accessible, please email enquiries@piab.ie.
